2D to 3D ConversionConvert your existing photos or artwork to 3D and let us create custom 3D prints.
Not all 3D converstion processes are the same. There are different techniques for converting a flat image to 3D. Some inferior processes simply create different layers of depth by cutting objects out and making them to appear at different levels of depth. This creates the visual effect looking as the scene were made of flat cardboard cut outs pasted at different depths, as each layer remains flat. For instance, say we have a scene featuring a person standing in the scene. In front of the person are several plants and flowers. Behind the person are several trees and a mountain. With the inferior conversion process you will see the flowers and plants in front, but they will look like flat card board cut-outs, as will the person. That is there will be no rounded depth. And the trees and mountains will also look like flat cardboard cut outs stuck at various depths. There will be no rounded depth. SAV3D uses a process by which we had full rounded depth to all objects in the scene (as much as possible or as much as needed to produce a 'real' effect). That means that you can see a person's arm is rounded looking, the face will be rounded looking, a ball in the scene will appear like a sphere. To produce such full depth or rounded depth conversions takes more time. However, we use a number of computer programs to assit us in speeding up the process and turning out a high quality 'real life' looking conversion. We can take a normal flat artwork image or photo and convert it to either 2 stereo views or in multiple views (12-18) for creating 3D lenticular prints. We can also create 3D lenticular prints from stereoscopic slide sets. The time, and thus the cost, to convert an image to 3D varies widely depending on the complexity of the scene, how many main objects and layers of depth. Price Quote: We will need you to send us a digital photo or copy of the image you desire (must be at least 600-800 pixels high for quotation purposes, however, we will need the original or very high resolution images for the actual conversion process - depending on the size of prints that you foresee producing). Conversion costs can range from $50 to over $1000 depending on the scene complexity and print size desired. |
